Q: What research, studies and scientific findings support GSH-3 Cell Defense?
Research shows that high glutathione levels can help you live to be 100
A breakthrough Danish study revealed that people 100 years and older in good health and largely free from deadly illness also had a 208-percent higher level of glutathione. GSH-3 Cell Defense’s specially formulated ingredients are meant specifically to boost glutathione levels.
Dr.Helle Anderson and colleagues at Odense University (now the University of South Denmark) in Denmark compared the levels of glutathione reductase in 41 subjects between the ages of 100 and 105 years old to 52 younger people aged 60 to 79. When measuring the lowest glutathione level of the younger group to the highest level of the much older group, there was a stunning 208-percent increase—THE OLDER PEOPLE HAD HIGHER GLUTATHIONE LEVELS.
Known as the “wellderly,” the older individuals with the highest glutathione levels were also in the best physical shape, regardless of their ages. They also had a lower rate of having deadly serious illnesses that we all assume that we will get one day. The research team’s professional conclusion? This higher glutathione level played an important role in their longevity and sound health.
The New England Journal of Medicine says that those with low glutathione levels are 30 percent more likely to have a heart attack.
According to glutathione expert Dr. Jimmy Gutman, those with 20-percent greater glutathione levels in their blood have about one third the rate of arthritis, high blood pressure, and heart problems. That’s a 67-percent reduction for these troubling conditions.
NBC News reports, “University of California scientists say sulfur derivative glutathione helps prevent joint and cartilage degeneration.” They add that these people “had 25 percent less pain and 30 percent better physical function in a 3-month trial at the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine.”
NAC (N-acetyl-cysteine) is a ready precursor to glutathione
In one European study, 600 mg of NAC was given to former cancer patients for three months. Upon assessment, the plasma levels of glutathione went up 38 percent. You get the full 600 mg research dose of NAC in GSH-3, plus an unrivaled lineup of vital antioxidants.
A number of publications have lauded NAC:
The Original Internist makes a vital point: “Glutathione’s penetration of the blood-brain barrier is relatively poor. So NAC helps in the transfer of glutathione because it can easily penetrate the blood brain barrier.”
Better Nutrition calls NAC a breakthrough nutrient: “NAC is a super nutrient with broad benefits to your health. It might be among the most important ones you could take.”
Natural News reveals its cleaning power: “NAC acts as a detoxifying agent, removing things that interfere with your body’s functionality.”
ROC® (Red Orange Complex) is a proven booster of glutathione
Research indicates that supplementation with ROC® can improve blood levels of thiol groups (an indirect measurement of glutathione activity in serum). A comprehensive study on athletes found that 100 mg a day raised plasma thiol levels by 68 percent. What’s more, ROC® has produced a marked decrease in free radical levels, especially in patients with high oxidative stress. GSH-3 includes the full 100 mg researched dose of ROC®.
A clinical study on athletes who consumed ROC® was amazing: Their glutathione rose 68 percent, antioxidants went up 133 percent, and DNA damage decreased 20 percent.
SelenoExcell® is scientifically proven to fight cancer
The Nutritional Prevention of Cancer Trial was published in The Journal of The American Medical Association (JAMA). This historic 10-year, double-blind, placebo-controlled study using SelenoExcell with 1,312 patients had these remarkable results: Ordinary selenium didn’t offer any help. Now consider what SelenoExcell did: It helped reduce these five cancers more than anyone had ever dreamed was possible — a phenomenal 63 percent.
Here is what they found:
- 63-percent decrease in prostate cancer
- 53-percent reduction in colon cancer
- 46-percent less lung cancer
- 37-percent decrease in total cancer incidence
- 50-percent decrease in cancer mortality
The original Nutritional Prevention of Cancer Trial was so successful that it was renewed for three additional years with a funding of $2.5 million.
Another study showed that low levels of selenium are linked to potentially fatal heart conditions. As reported in The Lancet, one of the world’s top medical journals, 91 hospital patients were clinically evaluated for their chest pains. There was a seven-year follow up on the 11,000 people in this research, and the facts confirm SelenoExcell’s value. People who had low concentrations of selenium in their blood at the beginning of the survey had the highest risk of potentially fatal heart conditions.
